Year 2 International Management & Marketing

Objectives

The Master’s in International Management and Marketing is one of the two programmes offered within the Master’s in Management and International Business. The aim of this programme is to train senior executives with an understanding and cross-disciplinary approach to international business and operations, who are able to make strategic and functional management decisions in organisations that are developing or wish to develop internationally.

The International Management and Marketing (MIM) one-year programme aims to train specialists in international marketing functions, capable of designing, negotiating and implementing decisions adapted to the economic, legal and cultural context of organisations operating in an international market.

Content and structure

In addition to acquiring and reinforcing cross-disciplinary skills (foreign languages, international economics, methodology, etc.), the International Management and Marketing programme offers students a specialisation in international marketing, with courses such as: E-marketing, New trends in marketing, International commercial communication, International consumer behaviour, International trade negociation, International market research, International product management, etc.

The Master 2 MIM courses are taught entirely in English.

The academic year is divided into 2 semesters. The fall semester runs from beginning of September to mid-December with exams at that time; and the spring semester from January to late April with exams at that time.

A 5-6 month internship is mandatory in France or anywhere in the world, in an international organisation. 

Career and opportunities

Graduates of the Master 2 programme are mostly but not only export area managers, product managers, international buyers, marketing coordinators, sales lead qualifiers, operations managers.

The results of the 2022 professional integration survey covering the MCI class of 2020-2021 show that :

• 92% of graduates are in employment 30 months after obtaining their Master’s degree
(68% at 6 months).
• The median net salary (excluding bonuses) is €2,000.
• The match between job and training is 81%.
• 57,1% have stable employment
• 25% of jobs are abroad (for example in Germany, Brazil, Luxembourg)

Eligibility

This Master programme (year 2) is open to student with a 4-years of Higher Education level (bac + 4) in Management, Law, Psychology, Sociology. Applicants must have skills in management (training and / or experience). 

They also must prove an English language proficiency and certify it by submitting a language certificate such as TOEFL or TOEIC.
Citizens  of  Anglo-Saxon  countries  do  not  have  to provide evidence of language proficiency.

All previous transcripts of records along with a CV and a cover letter will be asked when applying. Students will be called in for an interview.

Tuiton fees 

The  University  of  Angers  is  part of  the  French state  university  system. Regular students currently have to pay €243  for  the  entire  academic  year  in  2023-2024. Students also have to pay for the additional Student Life and Campus Contribution (€100) that aims to give more social, health, cultural and sports support to students.
